Teaching Philosophy: As a lecturer in the English Department, I have my own philosophy of teaching. I believe that all the students have the right to be in a safe environment of education and have equal opportunity to unlock their maximum potential. It is my responsibility to provide them a class with such kind of quality and help them as a guide to achieve this goal. I do allow my students to express themselves and share their ideas in the classes. The students also need to accept the differences and to have tolerance toward other students. To fulfill this goal new methods and techniques of teaching should be implemented in the classes. Students-center learning should be used rather than teacher-centered learning. Students should not be considered as a bank to get the information of the teachers only. Teachers should work only like a guide and provide the opportunity and time to improve their skills as I think each one of them has a unique quality that can be developed. Last but not least incorporating technology in teaching is very significant as it can expand the students’ learning. They also have more accessibility to the class contents.
